Erin Sherlock is a composer, trumpet player and sound engineer originally from lutruwita/Tasmania and now based in Naarm/Melbourne. She moved to Melbourne in 2021 to study Interactive Composition at the University of Melbourne, where she now works as a sound engineer in the Brian Brown Studio.

Alongside her work at the University, Erin is a freelance composer, arranger, producer, sound engineer and trumpet player. She has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Maeve Grieve, Middle Palms, Katie Noonan, Shade, Mia Barham, Abi Lee, Rob Feher, Annwen Roberts and Alice Hurwood, and has contributed to numerous recordings and albums across Melbourne’s contemporary music scene.

With a passion for jazz and contemporary music, Erin regularly performs her original compositions at some of Melbourne’s most renowned jazz venues. One of her favorite projects is her residency with the Jazzlab Orchestra, a diverse group featuring some of Naarm/Melbourne’s best composers and performers.

Erin’s work has also led her to participate in several notable music festivals, including the Clarence Jazz Festival, Brunswick Music Festival, A More Perfect Union, and the International Women’s Jazz Festival, to name a few.
